To serve a page, the server automatically records what the internet protocols transmit with every request: the IP address, the browser and operating system it declares, the date and time, and the address of the page requested.

These entries live in the hosting provider's technical logs. They exist so the site can run, so a fault can be diagnosed, and so abuse can be blocked. They are not used to identify anyone and are never combined with other information.

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages appear.

Neither writes a cookie or any other identifier onto your device. Web Analytics recognises a visit through a code derived from the request itself, computed on Vercel's servers and discarded after twenty-four hours: nothing remains that could link two visits far apart in time, or follow the same person from one site to another.

What is kept for each visit is the date and time, the address of the page, the page you arrived from, the country with its region and city, the operating system, the browser and the type of device. Speed Insights records the same technical details plus the speed measurements, and of the location keeps only the country. Neither stores your IP address. There is no profiling and there is no advertising.

The site sets no profiling cookies, no marketing cookies and no third-party cookies, and it uses no technical cookies that would require prior consent. Neither statistics tool writes anything onto your device — no cookie, and no browser storage of any other kind.

That is why no banner appears. Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, which is what makes a consent banner necessary, concerns information placed on or read from your device: here nothing is, so there would be nothing to accept or refuse.

Your browser may keep images and typefaces in its cache so it does not download them twice. That is a browser feature, not a cookie set by this site.

The address on the Contact page is an ordinary email link. It opens your own mail program; it passes through no intermediate service and the click itself is not recorded.

Writing means sharing your address and the content of your message. That data is used only to reply, and it stays in the controller's mailbox for as long as the exchange requires.

Browsing data and aggregate statistics are processed on the controller's legitimate interest in keeping the site running, keeping it secure, and knowing which works are being looked at (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Emails received are processed in order to answer the request they carry (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., a Delaware corporation whose address is 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. It acts as a data processor and also provides the two statistics tools described above.

The transfer of data to the United States is governed by Vercel's data processing addendum, which incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission in decision 2021/914: https://vercel.com/legal/dpa

No other party receives data from this site. Texts and photographs are static files served by the site itself — there are no embedded videos, maps, external typefaces or social buttons calling other servers. The link to the Instagram profile is an ordinary link: nothing is sent to Meta until you open it, and from that moment Instagram's own notice applies.

The code by which Web Analytics recognises a visit is discarded after twenty-four hours. The aggregate statistics left behind contain no personal data and remain available as historical series.

For the server's technical logs Vercel publishes no deadline: its data processing addendum provides for customer data to be deleted within a commercially reasonable time after the contract ends, without setting a term for operational logs. This notice does not invent one.

Emails are kept for as long as the exchange and its follow-up require.

You may ask for access to your data, for its correction or erasure, for processing to be restricted, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Write to info@silviagelli.it; you will have an answer within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

The site is not directed at children under fourteen and does not knowingly collect their data.

If the site changes — a different statistics tool, a contact form, an external service of any kind — this notice will be updated before that change goes live, and the date at the top of the page will say so.
